Delhi is all set to get more happening as the city’s third Dilli Haat at Janakpuri is being inaugurated by Sh. Parvesh Sahib Singh, Hon’ble MP on 13 July 2014. Sh. Jagdish Mukhi, Hon’ble MLA, Smt. Rajni Mamtani, Hon’ble Councillor and Sh. Manish Chatrath, Chairman, Delhi Tourism will grace the occasion with their presence.
Tourism has come to mean much more than travel, and sightseeing. The discerning tourist wants to experience different places in new and innovative ways. Dilli Haat is one such place which has been a popular spot since its inception. This is a unique space that brings up India’s old traditions of open market places to contemporary Delhi.
More spacious than the other two Dilli Haats which are at INA and Pitampura, Dilli Haat, Janakpuri is spread over a sprawling area of 9.80 acres. This new venue will be showcasing the country’s craft and cultural tradition, and will be an open air, shopper’s paradise which will be a one stop destination for art, craft, music and food lovers.
Dilli Haat, Jankapuri will give ample opportunity for food lovers to savor delectable lip smacking food as there are 28 Nos. of food stalls set up where one will be able to savor the flavors from across the country.
A sprawling Exposition Hall spreading over 960 Sqm. has been set up at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri where various exhibitions will take place. The outer walls of the exposition halls will be covered by creepers which will provide a green roof top.
